An indexing valve is a single valve that feeds water lines to multiple zones.  It can run up to four or six zones depending on the model, and cycles from zone to zone in a clockwise fashion each time the water flow is stopped and started. K-Rain indexing valves are ideal for pump applications, onsite wastewater disposal and reclaimed water systems.Â
Â
The big advantage of an indexing valve is that it runs on water pressure and eliminates the need for multiple electric valves.  A controller and a control valve (or pump) are still needed to turn the water on and off but you are not running wires to an electric valve for each zone.  With standard electric irrigation valves, one valve is required for each zone and each valve is wired to a controller.  Also, because an indexing valve has few moving parts, the result is less maintenance and a longer life span.
The K-Rain 4000 Series Automatic Indexing Valve offers cost-effective and reliable control to multiple zoned irrigation systems. It has the versatility to operate on pump or city water systems and the flexibility to change the number of operating zones quickly and easily.
Â
The 6000 Series Indexing Valve has metal die cast body and is capable of handling high pressure applications. The 6000 Series Valves are recommended to be used on pump fed systems and can also be used on higher flow pressurized city water systems.
Â
The K-Rain 4000 and 6000 series replaces old Hydrotek models.
